budget

Here is the budget for our tiny house.   As you can see, we included just about every cost associated with the house.  Since we didn’t own a truck to tow the house, or many of the tools we needed, those are all included in our budget.  The only thing the budget  doesn’t include is the living expenses for the two of us while we are working on the house (and therefore not working to make money!).

The costs listed here are estimates, and they’re on the high end.  As we go along we’ve been able to save money on certain items, and we hope to continue to do that.  Some costs are lower than the estimate because we haven’t bought all of that yet, but others are lower because we found the items less expensively.  Then again, other things have cost more than we thought….

We hope it’ll be useful to you!  This table was pasted from an Excel document, so please excuse any wonky formatting.  This budget shows our purchases as of the end of September, 2013.
